Our Team
A team of specialists
From site supervisors to on-ground specialists, our team at Dragonfly is led by environmental professionals committed to delivering high-quality ecological services across wetlands, waterways and urban areas.
We work closely with councils, developers and community groups to deliver effective results. By combining our practical experience and industry knowledge, we create meaningful, lasting outcomes in every environment we work in.
Our team is united by a shared commitment to care for natural and restored areas. Our goal is to continue to help create more resilient ecosystems that support biodiversity and lead to a more sustainable future.
Since joining Solutions+ in 2025, we have expanded our capabilities through increased access to resources, specialist expertise, and on-the-ground tools. Together, we work to build, maintain, and restore the spaces communities rely on every day, from parks and sporting fields to wetlands, waterways, and urban natural areas.
The story of our founders
Elaway had a lifelong connection to nature, shaped by her early experiences in Australia’s coastal landscapes. This eventually led to her deep curiosity about how ecosystems work. Inspired by the work of David Attenborough, and later influenced by scientific study and cultural immersion, this curiosity evolved into a career and way of life.
After completing a science degree and working in ecological research, Elaway recognised that environmental restoration goes beyond theory and that nature doesn’t work like a machine. Dragonfly was then founded and built on the combination of hands-on field experience with modern scientific insights.
With more than 20 years of practical experience, co-founder Andre has led extensive terrestrial and aquatic restoration projects. His knowledge and leadership helped grow the business from a small team into the experienced and passionate company it is today.
Today, Dragonfly has a clear mission: To care for natural and restored areas for both present and future generations. Growing each year, Dragonfly’s work continues to support sustainable urban development, biodiversity, and meaningful connections to nature.
