Vegetation Management Plans and Biobanking
A Vegetation Management Plan (VMP) is a formal document detailing how vegetation is managed on a property and is usually linked to monitoring and reporting on the outcomes. It often accompanies development consents. A VMP can also be for conservation purposes and may be part of a Biobanking agreement. At Dragonfly, we cover all aspects of implementation, including:
- Supply of materials, including plants, mulch, soil, fencing, irrigation and signage.
- Project management, including machine works of ripping, tilling, spreading topsoil and mulch.
- Planting and associated on-ground works, including the supply and operation of irrigation.
- Vegetation maintenance (bush regeneration) – large and small scale. This can include the use of machines such as trimmers or chainsaws to fine-scale care of existing high-quality bushland.
- Habitat retention and re-creation, including supply and installation of nest boxes and habitat logs.
- Monitoring and reporting on milestones and providing sign-off on stages of development conditions.
