Testimonials

The team from Dragonfly Environmental transformed a badly eroded section of our local creek in Penrith. Multiple floods and altered hydrology from an up-stream urban development resulted in a management nightmare for property owners Scott and Sue. Mulgoa Valley Landcare Group is thrilled with the outstanding results achieved by the enthusiastic and dedicated team from Dragonfly – within a very tight budget and timeframe. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

Dragonfly Environmental were awarded the Natural Areas Maintenance North contract for the Sydney Olympic Park Authority in July 2023. The contract area contains three endangered ecological communities and protected mangrove forest, and includes habitat for the endangered green and golden bell frog and migratory shorebirds.

Dragonfly Environmental had a good understanding of the contract specifications and relevant environmental procedures of SOPA’s BMP from day one of contract commencement and have been able to demonstrate a high level of expertise and experience in working in sensitive environments since that time.
Regular feedback and open communications are maintained to ensure works are undertaken to the required standard, and provides valuable information to aid SOPA in management of other aspects of the site, including feral animal control, repairs to infrastructure and response to acts of vandalism.

Friendly Dragonfly staff have balanced asset protection zone works with ecologically sensitive bush regeneration at several sites for our council. They are responsive to works requests and have displayed adept management of project timeframes in a challenging industry wide environment.

Dragonfly Environmental have been providing bush regeneration and environmental
consultation services to Bayside Council for the last decade. They have worked on a variety of projects from wetland and habitat island construction, a novel woody meadows landscaping pilot project to bush regeneration across a variety bushland sites of varying quality.
I find the work of Dragonfly to be consistently of a high standard and deliver outcomes according to project specifications. The staff at Dragonfly are highly professional, knowledgeable, efficient and easy to work with. They show initiative and raise any site concerns with me immediately.
Dragonfly’s communication is also of a high standard, work dates are sent out regularly and reporting and invoicing is completed in a timely fashion and to a good level of detail.
Whether it be a highly degraded bushland site, a sensitive wetland, difficult to access site or an unusual environmental project, I feel confident that Dragonfly will be able to deliver a quality outcome, efficiently.

Bayside Council Madeline Hourihan, Environment Officer

“The creek behind Ontario Close has been cleared and the overgrown vegetation and weeds have also been cleared and been removed from the banks of the creek. The whole creek looks perfect, I wish to express our streets sincere appreciation and particularly thank the workers who worked on the job.”

Blacktown City Council, Toongabbie Creek and Ontario Close Brad Bunting, Mayor of Blacktown

Dragonfly Environmental produced a clear Concept design Report for the restoration of a degraded wetland in Coolibah Reserve. This included an explanation of the design aims, a schematic diagram showing key features, concept design section through the wetland, and advice on species type and numbers to be planted throughout. It also included advice on water levels, scour protection, headwall widening and spillway construction. Dragonfly Environmental were subsequently engaged to undertake all planting works following civil works by another contractor and the result has been a great success. They have also been engaged for the last 12 months to maintain the wetland and associated creek embankment works (also planted by Dragonfly Environmental).

We found Dragonfly Environmental to be a fantastic contractor. The quality of the work is always of a very high standard with direct supervision from management/owners. Dragonfly Environmental were always very conscientious about the work including schedules and cost.

We found Dragonfly Environmental to always be willing to work longer hours and provide the needed resources at all times. Dragonfly Environmental worked closely with Baulderstone engineers and environmental manager at all times to ensure the work was completed in a timely manner.

Dragonfly Environmental are one of the most professional organisations I have worked with on large infrastructure projects.  They were always well mannered, polite and hard working.  Their efficiency and professionalism was consistent at all times throughout the project which lasted three years. The uniforms add a nice touch!

I have witnessed “before and after” snap shots of vegetation areas that Dragonfly Environmental have worked on and the results after work has been carried out are very noticeable, plants are healthy looking and vegetation areas look vibrant and well maintained. The bush regenerating team spend time in ensuring that the work is done to a high standard. No detail overlooked or task too small. Highly recommended.

We have been using Dragonfly Environmental for many years now to carry out bush regeneration works. They have always delivered a first class project at the completion of the maintenance period.

I would recommend them for bush regeneration works as we always get a prompt reliable service. Anytime we need something done it is done when they said it would be. We have used other companies in the past and found them to be a complete rip off putting in bills for maintenance works or replanting that was never done. Dragonfly actually do complete regular maintenance and do what they say they will.
